An honest depiction of the Optionality differential and resultant adaptation with Usury.

Launched in 2021 as a creative exploration, Optionality is the culmination of a four-year journey bridging the gap between written poetry and musical composition. This project was built on a foundation of rapid prototyping and market-driven iteration.

The Process:

• Proof of Concept: Developed initial tracks using a MIDI controller, iPad, Ableton, and vocal arrangements to translate complex poetry into rhythmic lyrics.
• Market Validation: Distributed "live" demos via SoundCloud to a professional and creative network to gather organic engagement data.
• Data-Driven Selection: Observed a clear Zipf's Law distribution in listener behavior. I leveraged this performance data to identify the top 11 tracks for the final album.
• Hybrid Production: To maintain the project's soul, I nested the lead track in its original "raw" form at the axis point - while utilizing Suno AI to polish and produce the remaining tracks, exploring the intersection of human intent and generative technology.
